The Lethaia Foundation was launched in 1968 as a joint venture between scientists in Denmark, Norway and Sweden, with the aim to promote palaeobiological and biostratigraphical research. This origin is nowadays still reflected through the Board, which includes members (active within relevant scientific disciplines) from all the founding countries.
